North Haven Camera Club To Host Macro Photography Program

On Tuesday, Nov. 1st. at 7pm, North Haven Camera Club will welcome guest speaker Paul Nguyen. Paul will be presenting an online program on Macro Photography. Macro photography is the art of making tiny things look big. You can do this by getting very close to your subject or by using a telephoto lens to zoom way in. Macro photography gives us a different perspective on our world.

Professional photographer Paul Nguyen has lived and worked from coast to coast in the U.S. and has thirty years of film and digital photography experience.

Paul, who resides in Flagstaff, Arizona specializes in natural landscapes and wildlife photography. He has served in the prestigious National Parks Artist in Residence program at the Petrified Forest in Arizona, and as a photographer for the Boston Museum of Science. His images have been licensed by numerous organizations including Tamron and the Nature Conservancy and Amazing New England Artworks.

Paul believes people have the power to change their own perceptions, whether it be their perception of themselves or that of the world around them. Since everything that we experience in our lives must pass through the filter of our perception, changing our perception essentially changes our reality.

A simple flip of a switch in the mind can make purples more vivid, life more gratifying, and challenges less daunting than ever before. And the only thing that it really takes for that to happen is your choice to alter the way you see the world. Photography has been an alternate way to perceiving the world that Paul has embraced since he was twelve years old.
