No
Why are you seeking this office?
I believe my skills and background are perfectly aligned with a position on the Zoning Board of Appeals. I successfully addressed several zoning matters in my capacity as an attorney. As well, I have worked with individuals affected by zoning decisions, lack of affordable or suitable housing, and those seeking variances.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is transparency concerning processes.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My candidacy is distinguished by unique experience and my lifelong ties to North Haven. My education and experience have prepared me to assist in making major decisions concerning zoning and land use. I have worked directly with individuals who needed to appear before the ZBA in other municipalities. I am well-versed in the process, I understand the regulations and their proper application. Further, I was raised in North Haven and returned to raise my son in this beautiful town. I have served this town as: Chair of the Special Education section of North Haven PTA; I co-founded the North Haven Equity Coalition; I serve as Chair of the Events Committee of North Haven DTC and I volunteer consistently within North Haven.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
I intend to share as much information as permitted about processes and decisions.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
As a trial attorney, I was called upon to represent individuals before the ZBA of other towns (never North Haven). I secured a judgement, which resulted in equitable application of zoning regulations in a CT town. Additionally, I work consistently with individuals who face a lack of affordable housing. I have a keen understanding of the issues and how to apply facts to law.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Always do your best!
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have put tireless efforts into serving this community. The best way that I can continue my dedication is to utilize my skills and experience on ZBA. If elected to this position, I will be a diligent, transparent and responsible member of this board.
