Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Vehicle On I-91 In North Haven: State PD
A pedestrian was killed in the crash that closed part of I-91 on Monday night, police said in an update.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on I-91 North in North Haven on Monday night, according to Connecticut State Police.
Police said the driver of a 2020 Ford Explorer Limited was traveling on I-91 North adjacent to Exit 9 in North Haven around 9:15 p.m.
A male pedestrian was walking in the travel lanes of I-91 North in the same area, according to police.

Police said the Ford collided with the pedestrian, who was sent into the grass center median.
The pedestrian, who was identified as 53-year-old Arthur Taylor of New Haven, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

No other injuries were reported, police said.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash and anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Daniel McCue at 203-393-4200 or Daniel.mccue@ct.gov. Anyone who was operating a vehicle with a dashcam that was driving through the area at the time of the crash is also asked to contact McCue.
