Woman Caught Shoplifting In North Haven, Gets Arrested: Police
Saying it's not a victimless crime, police are letting everyone know that anyone caught shoplifting in North Haven will be arrested.
NORTH HAVEN, CT — North Haven police are letting everyone know that anyone caught shoplifting in town will be arrested.
“Think shoplifting is ‘just a small thing’? Think again,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We take all crimes seriously. Shoplifting isn’t a victimless offense — it impacts our businesses and our community. We will continue to pursue those who think otherwise.”
Police said a 32-year-old East Haven woman was arrested Monday night in connection with a theft from Target on Oct. 17. She was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

“If we can ID you and establish probable cause for your arrest, we will hold you accountable, in the moment or after the fact,” police wrote.
