Ameda N. Pastore, 81, WWII Veteran

Ameda N. Pastore, a resident of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital, the day before his 81st birthday. Born on June 6, 1932 in Norwalk, he was the son of the late Frank and Celia (Falcone) Pastore. Ameda was also predeceased by brothers Nicholas, Frank, Michael and Nunzio Pastore, and sisters Marie Hargrove and Philomena Nardi. 

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany following World War II. After his honorable discharge, he married his wife of 55 years, Adrianna (Pascale) Pastore, and raised 2 daughters in Norwalk and Westport. Ameda worked for Borden's Dairy in Norwalk and Stratford, Teddy's Limousine, and the Weston Public Schools as a custodian before his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Loretta (George) Mikaiel and Annmarie (Timothy) Santolini, one sister Eleanor Britten and four granddaughters, Kaitlin and Kelcie O'Brien of Norwalk, and Isabella and Gabriella Mikaiel of Westport.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 3 to 6pm at The Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. Services will take place on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10:00am at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport for a Mass of Christian Burial, with interment to follow at Willowbrook Cemetery, 395 Main St, Westport.
