Parents are empowered to make meaningful decisions regarding their child’s development and education. An important step is choosing the best learning environment and educational philosophy during these foundational and formative years.

CT State Norwalk will be hosting FAFSA sessions on Tuesday, December 16 from 10:00am - 2:00pm to support individuals in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications. 
Staff from Financial Aid Services offices will be available to assist with FAFSA-related questions and renewals. 
Connecticut’s deadline for priority consideration is February 15, although individuals should submit the form as soon as possible for the best chances at institutional aid. Prospective students should contact their financial aid office at the college or university they plan to attend.
Free tuition is available at CT State Community College to Connecticut residents who are high school graduates, whether from the state or elsewhere, and are attending college for the first time. Anyone who first attended college in fall 2020 or later may be eligible, as well. Accessing the free tuition program and any financial aid starts with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. The free tuition program is not income-based. All students who plan on attending full- or part-time should complete the FAFSA so they can access the program, even if they do not think they will quality for need-based aid. Program funding is available on a rolling basis; applicants can see if they qualify at <a href="https://www.ctstate.edu/free-tuition" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.ctstate.edu/free-tuition</a>. 
Prospective college students still have time to apply and receive free tuition for spring 2026 semester at any of CT State’s campuses statewide, and can enroll full- or part-time. 
The first steps are to apply to CT State Community College at <a href="https://ctstate.edu/apply" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">ctstate.edu/apply</a> and complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA at FAFSA.gov, selecting CT State’s 007635 federal school code. A FAFSA form is required regardless of family income for those who may be eligible. Free tuition is an option even if no other financial aid is awarded, as long as funds remain available. To see eligibility requirements, visit ctstate.edu/free-tuition. 
CT State offers more than 300 associate degrees and certificates that may be eligible for federal financial aid. Spring credit classes begin January 23.

OnWashington has transformed 123 Washington Street into the Ultimate Holiday Pop Up Market, a festive&nbsp;“Shop–Sip–Swing” weekend featuring curated shopping, seasonal cocktails, and a holiday mini golf course. The event&nbsp;runs Friday, December 19 (5–9 PM), Saturday, December 20 (12–7 PM), and Sunday, December 21 (12–5 PM).


Produced by AGW SONO Partners’ OnWashington marketing arm, the pop-up continues the company’s mission of&nbsp;activating vacant spaces to support small businesses, showcase local talent, and bring community-driven experiences to&nbsp;the SoNo district.


The marketplace is curated by PopShop Market, presenting an elevated shopping experience with a mix of handmade&nbsp;and locally sourced gifts perfect for holiday shopping. AURA Wine Bar will serve creative craft cocktails, featuring spirits&nbsp;from Norwalk’s 1420 Distillery—along with beer, wine, and charcuterie. Tempo Golf will operate a fully decorated, 9-

We typically welcome 250–300 participants, making this a lively and community-filled holiday tradition.

All proceeds help fund the food supplies for our 100,000-meal food packing event with Feed My Starving Children on March 7, 2026 at New Canaan High School.
