City of Norwalk Announces Yard Waste Site Schedule

The City of Norwalk has announced new information regarding expanded hours for the Yard Waste Site.

2016 Yard Waste Site – Spring/Summer/Fall

The Yard Waste Site, located at 15 S. Smith Street, will OPEN for the Spring/Summer/Fall Season on Monday April 4, 2016.

Before Monday April 4th, the Yard Waste Site will be OPEN on WEDNESDAYS. The hours will be 7:30AM to 3:00PM; and the Scale is closed from 12:00PM - 12:30PM (approximately).

During the Season, from Monday April 4, 2016 through Friday December 23, 2016, the hours of operation will be:

Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday: 7:30AM – 2:00PM

Monday through Friday, the Scale will be closed from approximately 12:00PM - 12:30PM.

Yard Waste may be brought loose or bagged in brown leaf bags. All containers – EXCEPT brown paper leaf bags – MUST BE EMPTIED AND REMOVED.

All passenger vehicles must display a Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass as they enter the Site.

PLEASE NOTE: The 2015 Norwalk Resident/ Beach Pass expires on March 31, 2016. Residents will be given a 30-day Grace Period.

Residents will be required to have the 2016 Resident/Beach Pass by May 1, 2016.
