Company's Solicitor Permit Revoked By Norwalk Police After 'Multiple Complaints'
Police said the department permanently revoked a company's city solicitor permit following multiple complaints from Norwalk residents.

NORWALK, CT — A company's city solicitor permit was permanently revoked this week by police following "multiple complaints" from Norwalk residents, according to police.
In a news release posted to the department's Facebook page, police said they permanently revoked a city of Norwalk solicitor permit for Limitless Management LLC DBA Frontier Communications, which was effective Tuesday.
Police said this action was taken following multiple complaints from residents, which included solicitors operating after dusk, not wearing required city-issued permits, trespassing on private property and ignoring posted "No Soliciting" signs.

- Soliciting is only allowed between 9 a.m. and dusk.
- Solicitors must display a city of Norwalk ID badge (company IDs alone are not sufficient).
"Our department remains committed to ensuring that all solicitors follow city regulations," police said on Facebook.

Limitless Management Group CEO Brian Martin confirmed to Patch the business' solicitor permit was revoked after a resident complained to police, however he said the representative in that instance did have a permit issued by the city.
"It got revoked because a customer called in and said that they thought we weren't supposed to be there," Martin said to Patch, "and because there was a complaint and [police] had to come, my permits were revoked."
He also emphasized that all his representatives for the Stamford-based company are simply doing their jobs.
"The team that I have in place...we had worked in Norwalk successfully for four months," Martin said, "we had switched over 150 people in those four months in the Norwalk area to either lower bills or faster internet speeds. We're serving the community."
Martin said he operates a team of about 30 people who talk to about 30 people a day, which equates to a total of about 900 people.
"We are helping out so many people," Martin said, "and yet one person calls and that's all the news ever focuses on. Nobody ever wants to talk about the good that people do, it's only one problem one time."
He also emphasized the intention of his business is to serve the community.
A request for comment from Frontier Communications was not immediately returned.
