Ex-Norwalk Cop Banned From Working In CT Law Enforcement: Report
A council revoked Taranjit Singh's certification after he was accused of using his status to obtain women's phone numbers, a report says.

NORWALK, CT — A former Norwalk police officer accused of using his cop status to coerce young women into exchanging phone numbers with him has been banned from working for any Connecticut law enforcement agency, The Norwalk Hour reported.
In its March 10 meeting, the Police Officer Standards and Training Council voted to revoke the certification of Taranjit Singh, the newspaper reported.
In a memo, state officials wrote that Singh had "abused his power as a police officer" by coercing women "under the direct and implied threat of law enforcement actions," according to The Norwalk Hour.
