It’s scheduled for Sept. 17 as part of the Ocean Conservancy’s annual International Coastal Clean-Up Day. More than 18 million pounds of trash were collected by nearly 800,000 volunteers around the world on Clean-Up Day last year.

“Source to Sound” starts at 10 a.m. at the Commons at Grace Farms, 365 Lukes Wood Road, New Canaan. Participants will test the water in Grace Farms' ponds, which are the headwaters of the Five Mile River. Then they’ll pick up supplies and meet at designated clean-up sites for a day of fun and service.
