NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man was charged with manslaughter Thursday in connection to the death of a 4-month-old baby last year, according to police.

According to Podgorski, investigators determined the cause of the infant's death to be "complications of medical and nutritional neglect with necrotizing appendicitis and chronic malnutrition."

The manner of death was determined to be homicide, Podgorski said.

Kyle Vigneault, 27, of Norwalk, was arrested on a warrant Thursday at his home. He was charged with first-degree manslaughter, risk of injury to a child and cruelty to persons.

His bond was set at $125,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Podgorski.
