Kitchen Fire Breaks Out At Norwalk Apartment Complex: FD
Fire officials said the blaze broke out in a kitchen on the second floor of a three-story apartment complex in Norwalk.
NORWALK, CT — Crews extinguished a fire that broke out late Tuesday morning in the kitchen of an apartment in Norwalk, according to the Norwalk Fire Department.
In a news release, Deputy Fire Chief Adam Markowitz said a kitchen fire was reported around 11:30 a.m. at a San Vincenzo Place apartment.
When crews arrived, they found a kitchen fire on the second floor of a three-story apartment complex with light smoke showing from a window, Markowitz said.

The blaze was quickly extinguished and the apartment was ventilated, limiting damage to the apartment's kitchen area, according to Markowitz.
One resident was home at the time of the fire, Markowitz said. No injuries were reported.

The Norwalk Fire Marshals Division is investigating the cause of the fire, according to Markowitz.
