Large Flames Melt Siding Of Norwalk Home, Patio Furniture Catches Fire: FD
When crews arrived, they found a large amount of home furnishings on fire on the back patio, according to Norwalk fire officials.
NORWALK, CT — Crews were called to extinguish a large structure fire that broke out at a Norwalk home Monday afternoon, according to fire officials.
In a news release, Deputy Chief Adam Markowitz said the fire was reported around 2 p.m. at a 1.5-story cape cod-style house on Bartlett Manor.
Initial reports stated the outside of the house was on fire, Markowitz said.

When crews arrived, heavy smoke was coming from the back of the home and an engine officer found a large amount of home furnishings on fire on the back patio, according to Markowitz.
The large fire also melted the siding on the back of the house, which was beginning to catch fire, Markowitz said.

The blaze was extinguished in under 10 minutes. No injuries were reported, Markowitz said.
The Norwalk Fire Marshal Division is investigating the cause of the fire, according to Markowitz.
