Lorenzo Solano, 80, of Norwalk, Passes Away
80-year-old Lorenzo G. Solano, Norwalk resident, passes away after battle with cancer

Lorenzo G. Solano, age 80 of Norwalk, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at his home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Mileto, Italy, the son of the late Domenico and Luigia (Neri) Solano, he was the beloved husband of Isabella Mangone Solano for 52 years. Lorenzo was a master carpenter and member of the Carpenters Union Local # 210. He enjoyed bocci and watching UCONN Huskies Basketball, soccer and golf. There was nothing that made him happier than being with his family.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children; Dominick Solano and his wife Donna, Marylou Buswell and her husband Christopher and Philip Solano, all of Norwalk, cherished grandchildren; Alex, Kaitlyn and Nicholas Solano, Kyle, Skylar and Justin Buswell, his brother Anthony and his wife Maria and sister Carmellina DiSatsio and her husband Lorenzo and 3 sisters in Italy; Rina LaScalla and her husband Nicholas, Franca Occhiatto and her husband Cosmo and Savarina Occhiatto and her husband Ruggiero. He is also survived by Laura, Lisa and Mona who grew very close to him over the years, as well as many other loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Fortunato Solano.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, April 21 at , 1 Fr. Conlon Pl, with entombment to follow at St. Johns Cemetery.
