Man, 18, Found With Loaded Handgun Arrested In Norwalk: Police
Police said the Norwalk man was found with a loaded handgun and marijuana packaged for sale in his possession.

NORWALK, CT — An 18-year-old man was arrested Monday night in Norwalk after a loaded handgun was found in his possession, according to police.
In a news release, Police Sgt. Ryan Evarts said officers spotted Justin Gross, 18, of Norwalk, walking along Connecticut Avenue around 6 p.m.
According to Evarts, police held a search warrant for Gross related to an ongoing investigation.

Gross immediately tired to distance himself from police by crossing four lanes of traffic when an officer ordered him to stop, which he did, Evarts said.
A loaded handgun with an extended magazine was found in Gross' possession, and a further search revealed he also had marijuana packaged for sale in his possession, according to Evarts.

Gross was charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, illegal possession of a large capacity magazine, criminal possession of a firearm, possession of <50 oz of cannabis 18 < 21 and illegal sale/manufacture of cannabis >18.
His bond was set at $500,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Evarts.
