Michael Leo Jr., 54; Account Manager, Avid Sports Enthusiast

Michael F. Leo Jr., of Norwalk passed on Oct. 18, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ. He was 54.

He was born in Greenwich, on Jan. 8, 1959, the beloved son of Marie Lynn (Pitasi) Leo and Michael F. Leo Sr.

He worked for Burndy Corp., Perkin Elmer, Nash Engineering and most recently as Account Manager for Clark Tower. Mike was a lifelong sports enthusiast who played softball (City Champs Partners '86), bowled, was a Pop Warner referee and A.S.A. umpire. In addition, he supported many youth athletic programs in Norwalk, over a 32-year period. A free spirit with a personality larger than life and a sense of humor second to none, Michael loved Jethro Tull, the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and the Beatles. 

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his two sons, Michael Patrick Leo of Norwalk, and, Adam Edward Leo of Vero Beach, FL. He also is survived by his loving sister Michelle Leo Forlenza and her husband Robert and their children Lorien and Matthew. Michael also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their condolences from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall St., Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Friday, Oct. 25, at St. Jerome Parish, 23 Half Mile Rd., Norwalk. Interment will be private.
