A motorcyclist was charged with reckless driving and other offenses Monday by a patrol officer who reported seeing the same operator driving unsafely last Saturday, but was unable to stop him, according to police
Officer Javier Mogollon was parked at the intersection of Lowe Street and Flax Hill Road at around 6:30 p.m. writing a report when he saw a black and yellow motorcycle go past him.

Mogollon recognized the motorcycle from the previous incident and began following it. He reported the operator increased his speed as he drove down Lowe Street.
Mogollon reported a car pulled in front of the motorcycle, causing its operator, later identified as Peter Cordone, to lock up his rear brake. Cordone lost control of the motorcycle and it slid to a stop, Mogollon reported.

Cordone allegedly got up and began running south on Lowe Street. Mogollon reportedly caught up to him and took him into custody.
Cordone, 21, of 1 Hadik Pkwy., was charged with reckless driving, engaging an officer in pursuit, interfering with an officer, failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Cordone was held on $6,000 bond and given a court date of June 27.
