Norwalk Bakery Issues Voluntary Recall Of Frozen Cookie Dough Logs

NORWALK, CT — Wave Hill Breads has voluntarily recalled products containing undeclared allergens sold at its Norwalk bakery and at farmers markets in Connecticut, according to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection Food and Standards Division.

In a news release Thursday afternoon, DCP spokesperson Kaitlyn Krasselt said the bakery voluntarily recalled some of its frozen cookie dough logs "due to undeclared wheat, milk, and soy allergens."

  • Frozen Cookie Dough Log, Chocolate Chip, 24 oz.
  • Frozen Cookie Dough Log, Oatmeal Cranberry, 24 oz.
  • Frozen Cookie Dough Log, Snickerdoodle, 24 oz.
  • Frozen Cookie Dough Log, Ginger Molasses, 24 oz.

The recalled products can be identified "through its labeled flavor, rolled log form appearance and wrapped in white parchment paper sealed with green twist ties," weighing 1 pound, 8 ounces, for a total of 24 ounces, according to Krasselt.

Customers who have severe allergies or sensitivity to wheat, milk and soy are vulnerable to serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume the affected products, Krasselt said.

No illnesses have been reported to date, according to Krasselt.

Consumers who have purchased Wave Hill Breads' frozen cookie dough logs are urged to return it to the bakery's retail location at 239 Westport Avenue in Norwalk for a full refund, Krasselt said.
