Norwalk Man Accused Of Trafficking Cocaine Sentenced: Feds
A Norwalk man accused of trafficking cocaine in southwestern Connecticut was sentenced to prison this week, according to court officials.
NORWALK, CT — A Norwalk man accused of trafficking cocaine in southwestern Connecticut was sentenced to prison Thursday, Acting U.S. Attorney for Connecticut Marc Silverman announced in a news release.
Christopher Adams, 58, of Norwalk, was sentenced by a judge in Hartford to 22 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, according to Silverman.
According to court documents and statements made in court, the Drug Enforcement Administration's Bridgeport High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force and Stamford police were able to identify the leader of a drug trafficking organization accused of distributing large quantities of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine and crack cocaine in Stamford and other areas of southwestern Connecticut.

The investigation, which included court-authorized wiretaps and controlled purchases of narcotics, revealed the organization's leader and others coordinated the street-level distribution of narcotics, according to Silverman.
The investigation also revealed the organization's leader sold bulk quantities of cocaine to Adams for further distribution, Silverman said.

Adams was arrested March 8, 2024, on related state charges after approximately 80 grams of cocaine were found during a court-authorized search of a Norwalk hotel room where he was living, according to Silverman.
Adams then resumed his narcotics trafficking activity after her was released on bond in his state case, Silverman said.
According to Silverman, several members of the conspiracy were arrested federally on May 14 after investigators conducted court-authorized searches at locations in Stamford, Norwalk, Bridgeport and Darien and seized approximately three kilograms of cocaine, nearly 400 grams of raw fentanyl, more than 500 bags of fentanyl, five firearms, a bulletproof vest and seven vehicles.
Adams was arrested federally on May 18 and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute cocaine on Dec. 10. He has been detained since his arrest, according to Silverman.
