The city of Norwalk has announced its garbage collection schedule for the week of Memorial Day 2025.
NORWALK, CT — The city of Norwalk has announced its garbage collection schedule for the week of Memorial Day.
According to the city's Facebook page, there will be no garbage and recycling collection on Memorial Day, which falls on Monday, May 26, this year.
The city's garbage and recycling collections will resume May 27 and be delayed by one day, according to the city.

The city's transfer station and yard waste site will also be closed on Memorial Day and reopen for services May 27.
Here is the Memorial Day week garbage collection schedule for Norwalk, according to the city:

- Monday (May 26, 2025): No collection.
- Tuesday (May 27, 2025): Monday route collection.
- Wednesday (May 28, 2025): Tuesday route collection.
- Thursday (May 29, 2025): Wednesday route collection.
- Friday (May 30, 2025): Thursday route collection.
- Saturday (May 31, 2025): Friday route collection.
City officials also remind residents to have both garbage and recycling at their curb by 6 a.m. for collection during this altered schedule.
