Norwalk Snow Emergency to be Lifted Jan. 28
City services will return to normal after the snow emergency is lifted on Wednesday morning.

The snow emergency in Norwalk will be lifted tomorrow at 5 a.m. and city services will resume their normal schedule, the city of Norwalk announced earlier today.
City Hall and other municipal buildings should open at their regularly scheduled times. Norwalk Public Schools will make a determination regarding tomorrow’s schedule later today, the city said.
Governor Dannel Malloy lifted the travel ban for the area at 8:30 a.m. today and all main roads in Norwalk are passable and continuing to be cleared. According to the city, secondary roads and parking lots will be cleared this evening. Rail service on the Metro North-New Haven line resumed at 1 p.m. and is operating on a Sunday schedule.

The city advises all residents to make sure sidewalks are shoveled and vehicles are cleared of snow before driving to ensure the safety of others.
