Norwalk Woman's Vehicle Struck in 4-Car Accident on Rt. 7 in Wilton
The crash occurred at around 6:45 a.m., injuring three people.

A Norwalk woman’s vehicle was struck in a four-car motor vehicle accident early Wednesday morning at the intersection of Danbury Road and Hollyhock Lane in Wilton, closing Route 7.
According to police, a Port Chester, NY man travelling north on Danbury Road at the intersection of Hollyhock Lane crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming southbound traffic. The vehicle struck a car operated by a Redding man travelling south at the intersection.

The car operated by the Redding man ended up sideways in the right lane of northbound traffic once it was struck due to slippery conditions, police said.
A third vehicle travelling northbound operated by a Norwalk woman struck the vehicle on the rear bumper. Following this, a fourth vehicle operated by a Stamford woman struck the rear of the third vehicle.

All operators except for the Norwalk woman were injured and taken to the hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation.
