Next Up for "Book & a Movie" at So No Branch Library: Ordinary People

The "Book & a Movie" series is a a communal program where everyone reads a pre-selected book in advance and watches the movie version of the book or a movie with a similar theme as the book.

Next up on the monthly book-slash-movie roster at the South Norwalk Branch Library at 10 Washington Street is  Ordinary People.

Ordinary People is the story of strained relationships after a tragic accident which affect an affluent, suburban family during the 1970s. The 1980 movie, 124 minutes long and winner of four Academy Awards including Best Director for Robert Redford and Best Actress for Mary Tyler Moore, will be shown after the book discussion. 

The Book & a Movie for Ordinary People is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, from 12:00 - 3:30p.m. at the South Norwalk branch library at 10 Washington Street.

You can participate in just the discussion, or view the movie only -- or both. The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments are served and you can register online or by calling (203) 899-2790, ext 15902.
