Body Pulled From River In Norwalk: FD
Fire officials said the body of a woman was pulled from the Norwalk River after her clothes and phone were found on the bank of the river.
NORWALK, CT — The body of a woman was pulled from the Norwalk River after her clothes and phone were found on the bank of the river, fire officials announced Thursday afternoon.
In a news release, Deputy Chief Steve Shay said fire crews, along with Norwalk police and Wilton fire crews, searched for a woman who was believed to have entered the river Wednesday night near Wilton Center.
According to Shay, a man walking his dog found her clothes on the bank of the river, and her phone was also found later.

Crews found the body approximately two miles downstream near Grist Mill Road in Norwalk, Shay said.
Crews and police then removed the body from the river, which was moving fast due to Wednesday night's heavy rainfall, according to Shay.

Police said around 4:30 p.m. on Facebook an investigation was underway in the area of Glover Avenue near Grist Mill Road and noted there was no danger to the public.
