NORWALK, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested Thursday after officers seized illegal items during a search of a Norwalk vape shop Thursday, according to police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Tomasz Podgorski said the department's Special Services Division served a search and seizure warrant at Mohegan Smoke Shop on North Main Street as part of an ongoing investigation into smoke shops in Norwalk selling cannabis and cannabis products without a cannabis license.
According to Podgorski, it is illegal in Connecticut to sell products that contain a total THC concentration greater than 0.3 percent without a state-issued license or sell pure marijuana when not a licensed dispensary.

Several hundred dollars in cash were also seized from the store and will be applied for through the asset forfeiture process, Podgorski said.
Following the investigation, police arrested Yassin Adwan, 23, of Bridgeport, and charged him with possession of greater than 1 kg marijuana product and possession with intent to sell over 1kg marijuana product.
His bond was set at $25,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Podgorski.
