Hours: Monday to Saturday from 9:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. Sunday from 10:00a.m. to 7:00p.m.
Benefits: Goodwill works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work. Goodwill Industries International is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Rye Presbyterian Thrift Shop. 882 Boston Post Rd, Rye, NY*

Hours:  Thursdays from 10:00a.m. to 1:00p.m.
Benefits: All proceeds go to local nonprofit groups that help women, children and the elderly. Entrance is at side and back of church (Parsons St. and Milton Rd.).Though it is only open one day a week, it might be worth sneaking on your lunch hour. There is a YouTube tour of the thrift shop that gives a nice overview. 
*This is one thrift shop I have yet to visit in person.
