For both Tuesday and Wednesday, on the Merritt (Route 15) the right lane on the northbound-traffic side of the highway is closed in all or part of a 2.7-mile stretch between Exits 35 (High Ridge Road in Stamford) and 36 (Old Stamford Road in New Canaan.

A right lane on the southbound-traffic side of the same stretch of highway will also be closed. Bridge inspection work is the reason for the lane closures, the department announced. The work takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.

Interstate 95, northbound side — Norwalk and Darien

The right lane for the Northbound traffic side of Interstate 95 all or part of a 5.5-mile stretch between Exit 10 in Darien and Exit 16 in Norwalk will be closed. The department did not give a reason for this construction work, although there has been an ongoing project to widen the highway and replace overhead bridges near Exits 14 and 15 in Norwalk.

Westport, Post Road East

In Westport, paving will constrict traffic flow at the spot near 468 Post Rd. East (U.S. Route 1) where there were two recent sewer main collapses. The paving is expected to be complete by the end of the day.

In Stamford

In Stamford, state bridge inspections will close a right lane on South State Street between Greenwich Avenue and Washington Boulevard from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.

On Thursday in Stamford, expect alternating right and left lane closures on Tresser Boulevard (U.S. Rt. 1) in both directions between Clinton Avenue and Atlantic Street. Again, bridge inspections are the reason given, and the work takes place between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
