A Stratford woman was arrested by warrant Tuesday for allegedly threatening a former friend by way of phone calls and text messages over a period of months, according to police.
Patricia Bowers came to Police Headquarters and was charged with second-degree threatening.
Sgt. Thomas Roncinske said the complainant told officers she began getting threatening phone calls and messages from Bowers last January, and they continued until April. She reportedly said the threats began after Bowers started taking drugs.
Roncinske said the 50-year-old woman had a recording on her telephone message machine she played for officers that purportedly captured Bowers threatening her. She also provided police with text messages allegedly from Bowers.
