The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for southern Connecticut including Wilton as well as all of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties until 10:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7.
That watch also is in effect for Long Island, east of New York City.
