CT Offers $50K Rewards For Information In Oxford Double Homicide
The bodies of the victims, both Hartford residents, were discovered in a burning car in May 2024.

OXFORD, CT — The state is offering two rewards of $50,000 each for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible for killing two men last year.
The bodies of the victims, David Rivera and Carlos Omar Calderon of Hartford, were found in a burning car on Roosevelt Drive near the Stevenson Dam early on May 30, 2024.
Connecticut State Police have been investigating the murders, but the case remains unsolved.

Gov. Ned Lamont recently authorized the two $50,000 rewards in an effort to help solve the case.
Margaret E. Kelley, state’s attorney for the Ansonia/Milford Judicial District, said officials are committed to finding justice for the men and their loved ones.

“We urge anyone with information - no matter how insignificant it may seem - to come forward,” Kelley said. “This reward reflects the seriousness of this case and our determination to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
Kelley said there are individuals with information who haven’t come forward yet. She said the victims’ families deserve to have answers about what happened to their loved ones, and the state is asking for the public’s help.
