2 People Extricated From Vehicles After Shelton Crash: FD
Firefighters extricated two people from two separate vehicles after a crash in Shelton, according to fire officials.
SHELTON, CT — Firefighters extricated two people from two separate vehicles after a crash late Tuesday morning in Shelton, according to fire officials.
In a news release, fire officials said the Shelton Fire Department received a report of a crash with injuries involving multiple vehicles around 11:30 a.m. in the area of River Road.
Crews were first informed they would need to extricate one person from one of the vehicles, then quickly determined a second person would also need to be extricated from a second vehicle, fire officials said.

Crews folded over the roof of the first vehicle and removed a door from the second vehicle to free both people. They were then taken to local trauma facilities for treatment, according to fire officials.
The vehicles were removed from the area after approximately 20 minutes, fire officials said.
