SHELTON, CT — Four Shelton police officers who were fired from the department in 2020 are set to receive their first payments of nearly $1.9 million as part of a $4.9 million settlement with the city, the New Have Register reports.

According to the New Have Register, "partial payment of claims" related to the settlement to Lt. Dave Moore and officers Michael McClain, Roger Falcone and Dan Loris was approved last month by the Board of Aldermen, the money for which will come from the city's general fund surplus.

Moore and McClain were fired in July of 2020 after they were accused of dereliction of duty. Loris and Falcone were fired around that same time in connection to an investigation into photos posted to Facebook of officers changing outside.
