John Joseph Filippone, 60, of Ansonia, is charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree strangulation and second-degree threatening.
Police said Filippone was arrested by warrant stemming from a May 9 incident in which he choked a woman during a domestic dispute.
His bond was set at $75,000 for an appearance in Derby Superior Court.
