Dean Curtis Battaglino, 19, of Lakeview Extension, is accused of stealing a ring valued at more than $1,000.
Police said Battaglino took the ring from a friend's home in May. He was arrested by warrant.
He is free on a written promise to appear in Derby Superior Court on June 24.
