An Ansonia woman is charged with trying to steal about $1,600 in groceries from Stop & Shop on Bridgeport Avenue.
Ruth Delarosa, 38, of Sixth Street, Ansonia, is charged with fourth-degree larceny for the May 18 incident, police said.
She was released on a written promise to appear in Derby Superior Court.
