Aly Saperstein Has Donated More Than 105 Inches of Hair to Locks of Love

With a recent trip to Hair Loft in Avon, 17-year-old Aly Saperstein has donated more than 105 inches of hair for cancer patients. The Simsbury High Senior, who plans to be a Neonatologist (NICU Doctor), shared the following on her donations over the years.

Growing up as a kid, I always had the longest and the thickest hair. When I was 10, I decided to get it cut, but not just an ordinary hair cut. I cut 14 inches of hair off and donate it to an organization known as Locks of Love. This organization collects donated hair and makes wigs specifically for cancer patients. Cutting my hair for the first time made me realize how lucky I was to have hair and be able to do such a thing. This inspired me to continue to grow out my hair out and continue to cut it and donate it. Since then I have made four other donations which made a total of 105 inches of hair.
