To the Editor:

Please join me on Nov. 6th in voting for John Hampton for Simsbury’s next State Representative.

Simsbury is a unique place to live, work and play - blessed with natural beauty of mountains, farmlands and open vistas. But what really makes our community special is our volunteer spirit. Simsbury is special because of our volunteers – board and commission members, firefighters and people who make possible wonderful events like the Talcott Mountain Music Festival, Septemberfest and Simsbury Celebrates.

There is one candidate who exemplifies that volunteer spirit - John Hampton.

John has dedicated thousands of hours over the past 14 years for our Town.

John has worked hard as Deputy First Selectman to produce unprecedented zero budgets, initiated the first Senior Tax Relief program; created the Clean Energy Task Force and fought for our veterans.

John has experience testifying and working at the State Capitol and will be ready to go to work for Simsbury on Day One to carry on the good work of State Rep. Linda Schofield.

John is always there for Simsbury – whether it is attending a community event, helping an Eagle Scout or assisting a neighbor in need.

John will be there for Simsbury when we need him most – fighting for us at the State Capitol to keep taxes down, support education and support programs that create jobs.

Let’s be there for John on Nov. 6th by giving him our vote.

Mary Glassman
First Selectman, Simsbury Conn.
