One Simsbury locale is part of the Connecticut Open House Day on June 8.
"Open House Day is a great way for you to experience all the state has to offer and to encourage you to become Connecticut Ambassadors who take pride in sharing your new discoveries with visiting family and friends. The annual event is coordinated by the Connecticut Office of Tourism, a division of the Department of Economic & Community Development," says the event's website.
In Simsbury, the Phelps Tavern Museum is offering free tours from noon a.m. to 4 p.m. The museum is located at 10 Phelps Lane and you can learn more about the museum at the Simsbury Historical Society's website.
