For this year's senior "prank," members of the Simsbury High School Class of 2013 decide to play it cool — literally.
Organized by seniors Zoe Berman and Patrick Abrahamsen, the students set up a make-shift waterslide with plastic sheets and a water hose Monday afternoon.
It was quite the change of pace after last year's senior prank when some students placed goats on an overhang at Simsbury High School. It was an act that some thought humorous but stirred much controversy.
Organizers said the goal this year was a fun, more inclusive event.
"After last years prank made some bad publicity for the school, we decided to make a cleaner senior activity rather than prank," Abrahamsen said.
Berman said, "We wanted something that would include everyone."
School principal Neil Sullivan said the seniors, whose last day of classes is Tuesday, were having a little fun at the end of their pre-college career.
"No one is damaging anything or hurting anyone," he said. "With one day to go we are OK with a little bit of celebration."
