Simsbury in Photos: Learning at the Community Farm

A group of first graders from Squadron Line visited the farm as part of a program called "What Makes a Plant Grow?"

As part of the program, a farm representative also visited the school and helped students grown some plants that were later transplanted to the farm.

"This ties into our science units," said teacher Kara Maslar. "It's a great experience."  

In addition to school programs, the farm offers summer programs, an incubator farm program and grows vegetables for food service organizations.
