2 Southbury Residents Finish 2022 Boston Marathon

SOUTHBURY, CT — Two Southbury runners competed in the 2022 Boston Marathon on Monday. Nearly 25,000 runners finished the famous event, including more than 350 from Connecticut.

Of Connecticut runners, Everett Hackett, 32, of Hartford was the state's top runner at 50th place with an official time of 2:24:56. Laura Pierce, 40, of Woodbridge placed 127th among women and 2,251st overall with a time of 2:55:41.

The Southbury runners were David Lowry Jr, 60, who finished the race with an official time of 3:47:20; and Brian Mcilrath, 70, who finished the race with an official time of 4:22:41.
