Annual Memorial Day Parade and Picnic in Southbury

Southbury residents can enjoy the Memorial Day parade down Main Street South that begins at 11 a.m. Monday and then head over to Ballantine Park for the Family Day Picnic that starts at noon and will run until 5 p.m.  

There are a variety of activities going on throughout the day including Signature Entertainment “DJ Kenny” playing music and games, moonwalks from “All 4 Fun” and face painting for kids. “T-Bone” will entertain local children and their families with music and games that will include beach balls, hula-hoops, limbo sticks and more from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.  

Boy Scout Troop 1607 will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks throughout the day. Residents are welcome to buy food from the Boy Scouts or bring their own.  

The Ballantine Pool will also be open to the public from noon – 5 p.m. for a free swim day.
