Edelson Elected Chairman of the Council of Governments

Southbury First Selectman Ed Edelson was elected Chairman of the Council of Governments of the Central Naugatuck Valley (COGCNV).

Edelson was elected at the council’s annual meeting last week and will serve as chairman for the 2013-14 fiscal year.

“I am very supportive of the important work of the COGCNV to help the towns,” said Edelson. “Southbury has been a great beneficiary of the skills and expertise of the staff at COGCNV.  With the new legislation encouraging regional planning organization to consolidate, the coming year will be full of challenges for this vital multi-town agency.  I look forward to working with the other chief elected officials to make sure we adapt to the changes but still deliver the same (or better) services”, said First Selectman Edelson.
