Knights of Columbus Posting Flags in Southbury

In honor of Independence Day, the Knights of Columbus Irwin J. Cassidy Assembly 2263, of Southbury, will post United States flags on streets in Southbury, Middlebury and Washington where their members reside. 

Each United States flag is 12 inches by 8 inches and stands on a two-foot pole.  Residents may keep the flags, or they will be retrieved by the Knights.

By July 4, one flag will be planted on each property along the member’s street either near the mailbox or by the driveway.  Any flags still posted on July 8 will be picked up by the Knights.  Residents wanting the flag removed prior to July 8 or wanting to keep it planted after July 8 should call the telephone number on the label attached to the flag.
