Monteleone Begins Assembling Campaign Staff

Republican candidate for First Selectman John Monteleone appointed a campaign Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer this week.

In the initial steps of assembling his campaign team Monteleone named Southbury residents Ralph Camasso and Janet Walker as Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer.

“These two experienced and skilled financial professionals understand the importance of accurate reporting of all contributions and expenditures of the campaign,” said a release from the campaign. “John Monteleone is confident that the citizens of Southbury who choose to support his candidacy will be able to know and trust that their dollars are being spent to assure the victory of this candidate who will bring leadership, integrity and vision to this important office.”

Camasso, a 22-year resident of Southbury, is an accountant by profession. His son Ryan is currently serving in the U.S. Navy on deployment in the Philippines and his son Christopher is a recent UConn graduate. He currently serves on the Southbury Library Board, according to the campaign.

Walker graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. She is licensed in the state of Connecticut as a Certified Public Accountant. She is an active member in this community and serves as the Treasurer for the Southbury Business Association, is a member of the Pomperaug Woods Board of Directors and State of Connecticut Gift and Estate Tax Committee. Walker resides in Southbury with her husband, according to the campaign.
