Numerous Pot, DUI Arrests in Southbury

The following arrest information was supplied by the Southbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Douglas Elwell, 27, of Southbury was charged with DUI, possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana, use of drug paraphernalia and traveling unreasonably fast on April 27 at approximately 3 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically on Old Waterbury Road in Southbury.

Elwell was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 8.

John Renzulli, 65, of Southbury, was charged with possession of less than .5 ounces of marijuana and unauthorized delivery to a correctional institution on April 25 at approximately 10:31 a.m. after police found him in possession of a small amount of contraband while inside a Newtown Correctional Facility.

Renzulli was released on $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 6.

Jonathan Skonieczny was charged with DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane on April 27 at approximately 3:20 a.m. after police observed him driving erratically on Interstate 84 east in Southbury.

Skonieczny was released on $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on May 15.
