Obituary: Peter Arrison, 77, of Southbury
Arrison was the proudest Duke men's basketball fan and lived in Heritage Village.

Peter Arrison, 77, of Heritage Village, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 2, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine Arrison.
Arrison was born June 30, 1938, in Philadelphia, son of the late Howard and Dorothy Arrison. He was a graduate of Episcopal Academy in Pennsylvania in 1957 and Duke University in North Carolina in 1961. While at Duke he became one of the proudest Duke men’s basketball fan ever.

Upon leaving Duke, Peter’s career began in the medical sales area and after many years he started his own oxygen company, Amcare, in Florida which eventually became part of Union Carbide Corporation.
Besides his devoted wife of 26 years, he leaves two daughters, Amy Coffman and her husband, Scott, of Virginia and their son, Aidan, and Jennifer Arrison of Florida; his stepchildren, John Dodge and his wife, Lori, of New Hampshire and their sons, Collin, Evan and Nolan; and Carol Baker and her husband, Tom, of Connecticut and their daughters, Kiley and Shealyn; one niece, Emily Reed of New York, and his cousin, Steve Sumption of Delaware.

He was a wonderful husband, father grandfather and uncle and will be truly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main St. South, Southbury.
Calling hours: Monday, March 7, from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be private. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury.
