Police: Man Attempts to Avoid Police, Southbury Resident Reports Stolen Phone

A Fox Run drive resident in Southbury reported to police that their cell phone had been stolen on April 11 at approximately 9:30 a.m.

Byron Morrison, 36, of Waterbury, was charged with reckless driving, disobeying the signal of an officer, unsafe backing and stop sign violation on April 4 at approximately 8:10 p.m.

According to police, Morrison was taken in to custody after attempting to avoid police in Southbury.
Morrison was released on $1,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court on April 17.
