Regional School District 15 Announces Kindergarten Registration

Regional 15 will hold a parents night Mar 14 for all parents interested in enrolling their child in Kindergarten for 2017-2018 school year.

From Regional School District 15: Parents and guardians of children in Regional School District 15 who will start kindergarten in the 2017-18 school year, are requested to begin the Kindergarten Registration process now. In Connecticut, a child who is 5 years old before before January 1, 2018 can register for Kindergarten.

To have your child included on the Incoming Kindergarten List for the 2017-18 school year, please call or return a completed Kindergarten Intake Pre-Registration form to the appropriate elementary school as soon as possible in January. to assist with planning for the next school year. The Kindergarten Pre-Registration Intake form, as well as additional information about the Kindergarten Registration process, including what school your child will attend, school contact information, and additional registration forms, can be found on the Region 15 website at www.region15.org/kindergarten. These forms are also available at the school’s main office.

A Parent Information Night for parents/guardians will be held on March 14th at each elementary school to discuss the Kindergarten curriculum, review the registration dates and times, and to introduce the Kindergarten teachers. Parents in attendance at the Parent Information Night on March 14th will have an opportunity to sign up for their registration appointment. Parents who are unable to attend this meeting are asked to contact the school after March 14th for a Kindergarten rRegistration appointment. No Kindergarten registration appointments will be scheduled prior to the Parent Information Night on March 14th.
