Road Work Scheduled for Several Southbury Streets

Work includes reconstruction of town roads and may last up to three months.

Southbury road crews have begun work on Berkshire Road that may last up to three months.

Road crews are installing drainage on Berkshire Road in anticipation of reconstructing the road from River Road to the vicinity of Putatuck Trail, according to public works.

The road will remain open to traffic, but due to the road’s narrow width and size of construction equipment, delays are expected. The project will last approximately 10-12 weeks from start to final paving, according to public works.

Roadwork has also started on Horse Fence Hill Road. The work includes catch basin repair, milling and paving and will last approximately three weeks.
